Intel unveiled a new initiative – the AI PC Developer Program. This program signifies Intel’s commitment to fostering a vibrant ecosystem for AI-powered PCs.

The program offers a comprehensive set of tools and resources to empower developers, including independent software vendors (ISVs) and aspiring creators, to design and build innovative AI applications for PCs. By providing access to AI toolkits, training materials, and co-engineering opportunities, Intel aims to streamline the development process and expedite the delivery of AI-powered features to consumers.

A central aspect of the program is the ambitious rollout of over 300 AI-accelerated features throughout 2024. These features will be integrated with Intel Core Ultra processors, driving enhanced performance and enabling a wider range of AI capabilities on PCs. This signifies a significant boost for AI adoption, as more than 230 PC designs from 12 leading manufacturers are expected to incorporate these features by year’s end.

This initiative aligns with Intel’s broader AI PC Acceleration Program, announced in October 2023. The overarching goal is to equip over 100 million Intel-based AI PCs with cutting-edge AI functionalities by 2025. By fostering collaboration between hardware vendors and software developers, Intel aims to create a seamless user experience for consumers, allowing them to leverage the power of AI for various tasks like content creation, video editing, and even personalized software experiences.

The announcement has generated considerable interest within the developer community. With a plethora of AI features on the horizon and a supportive development environment, the program presents exciting possibilities for creating next-generation PC applications that unlock the full potential of AI for everyday users.
