The 11th Blockchain Africa Conference was a one-day event held at PwC's offices in Waterfall City, near Johannesburg. The organiser reported about 270 attendees from 10 countries.
The Blockchain Africa Conference has been run by Bitcoin Events in South Africa since 2015. The 2025 edition took place on 22 October at PwC in Waterfall City, Gauteng, under the theme "Ready for Business".
It was a small, single-day conference aimed at businesses, banks and regulators rather than retail traders. According to the organiser, talks and panels covered real-world uses of blockchain, regulation and market opportunities in Africa, and Chipo Mushwana of Nedbank acted as master of ceremonies.
