Adopting Bitcoin Cape Town calls itself 'the boots-on-the-ground Bitcoin conference for real-world adoption in Southern Africa'. It is a Bitcoin-only event, with talks about using bitcoin for payments, savings and community projects rather than trading other tokens.
The 2027 edition runs for two days at Workshop17 Watershed. The day before, the same team hosts the African Bitcoin Circular Economy Summit at the same venue, with presentations and workshops from people running local bitcoin economies across the continent.
