PM Narendra Modi expressed his conviction. India will emerge as the world leader in AI. He attributed this to the nation’s young innovators as the driving force.

Addressing the Startup Mahakhumb 2024,PM Modi asserted, “India will have the upper hand in AI.” He urged young founders to develop solutions benefiting India and creating a better future globally.

Modi emphasized successful Indian innovations would resonate worldwide due to the nation’s diverse geography. India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem. The government introduced “Startups as an Engine of Growth” in the G-20 agenda.

Modi recounted launching Startup India and Stand-up India initiatives initially. Today, the ecosystem has over 125,000 registered startups employing over 1.2 million youths as job creators.

Over 45% of startup founders are women, underscoring their role in technological empowerment. Government policies providing funds and incubators at IITs nurtured this growth. To promote innovation further, Modi assured investing in the National Research Foundation. The interim budget allocated Rs 1 lakh crore for research and innovation.

Recognizing startups’ role in making India the third-largest economy, Modi highlighted government measures for growth. He urged entrepreneurs to guide aspiring youngsters like mentors guided them.

Modi remarked on India’s “democratization of technology” with startups across small towns. Before his speech, he interacted with entrepreneurs at the pavilion showcasing innovations. The Startup Mahakhumb witnessed unprecedented participation from stakeholders, fostering collaboration nationwide.
