Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, received some clever advise from Carl Pei Yu, the CEO of Nothing Phone, about how to start a plant in India. Carl Pei proposed that Elon Musk rename himself “Elon Bhai” in order to facilitate the establishment of a Tesla plant in India, given that Pei is scheduled to introduce “Nothing Phone 2a” in India the following month.

This coincides with rumors that Tesla, led by Elon Musk, plans to join the Indian market. It was claimed that the government was finalizing a strategy to extend the concessional import charges on electric cars. Currently, India levies an import duty of 100% on cars valued at more than ₹33 lakh and 60% on cars valued at less than that amount.

Carl Pei even made a lighthearted adjustment to his X handle to “Carl Bhai” before tweeting Elon Musk.

Rumors have claimed that Nothing has appointed Bollywood star Ranveer Singh as one of its brand ambassadors. In relation to the same, a social media user questioned Pei about why the business requires a brand ambassador. Pei said, “We want to sell more phones, bhai,” in response.
Pei’s tweet became popular in a matter of hours, and it has now received over 1.4 million views and 12,000 likes. The post has received more than 600 comments.

Pei’s insightful advice lends a lighthearted touch to the conversations surrounding foreign investment and market entrance tactics as excitement mounts for Tesla’s impending arrival in India. Although it’s unclear if Musk will accept the offer to take on the title of “Elon Bhai,” the conversation demonstrates the lighthearted nature of the tech industry.
