A Berlin festival on privacy, digital sovereignty and usable Web3.

Web3 Summit 2026 was a two-day event at Funkhaus Berlin on 18 and 19 June. It billed itself as a festival for digital freedom and focused on privacy, sovereignty and usability.
Web3 Summit is an event series linked to the Web3 Foundation, the organisation behind Polkadot. The 2026 edition, described by Euronews as the fifth, took place at Funkhaus Berlin, a former East German broadcasting centre.
It was not a token-focused trade show. The programme mixed talks, workshops, performances and open collaboration spaces, and Euronews reported that the debate centred on whether decentralised technology can challenge the power of large technology companies over data and AI. Speakers included economist Yanis Varoufakis and Bill Laboon of the Web3 Foundation.
