Watch Out, Bitcoin! (WOB) is a three-day Bitcoin-only event in Madrid with a workshop day followed by two days of panels. It calls itself Spain's main Bitcoin-only stage.
WOB started in 2022 and held its fifth edition in Madrid in October 2026. The organizers present it as an independent event about open knowledge and financial sovereignty, held mainly in Spanish.
The format is the same each year. Friday is a hands-on workshop day covering topics such as Lightning, multisig, running a node and privacy. Saturday and Sunday are given over to panels and debates, with cocktails and dinners for the community around them.
01
The first day is practical, with attendees asked to bring a laptop.
02
Saturday and Sunday are filled with panels on the harder questions around Bitcoin.
03
Most sessions are in Spanish, with speakers from Spain and Latin America.
04
Two cocktail evenings are part of the three-day programme.
