Bitcoin Histórico is the conference of El Salvador's National Bitcoin Office, held across the landmarks of San Salvador's historic centre.
Bitcoin Histórico is organized by the National Bitcoin Office of El Salvador together with CUBO+, the country's Bitcoin education programme. It is the government's showcase for what has happened since El Salvador adopted Bitcoin in 2021.
The setting is the event. Keynotes take place in the National Palace and are shown on giant screens in Plaza Gerardo Barrios outside, with talks, workshops and exhibitions in the National Theater and the BINAES national library. The two days cover Bitcoin, financial freedom and the country's transformation.
