World Liberty Financial (WLFI) — the cryptocurrency initiative associated with U.S. President Donald Trump — has announced a major expansion into the Solana blockchain through new collaborations with Bonk and Raydium, two key players in Solana’s DeFi ecosystem.
The partnership aims to integrate WLFI’s USD1 stablecoin deeper into Solana’s decentralized finance network, signaling a strong push toward reshaping the stablecoin landscape on the blockchain.
Pushing USD1 Into Solana’s Core DeFi Layer
WLFI revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that it plans to “rebuild the Solana ecosystem” by working closely with Bonk and Raydium. The project has already begun acquiring USD1 tokens for its strategic reserves, emphasizing action over promises.
The collaboration is designed to position USD1 as a direct competitor to Circle’s USDC, which currently dominates Solana’s stablecoin supply with over $9 billion in circulation, according to DeFiLlama.
By integrating with Bonk’s memecoin launchpad and Raydium’s automated market maker (AMM) pools, WLFI seeks to create a foundation for USD1-based trading pairs, token launches, and liquidity incentives. These efforts aim to increase adoption by rewarding traders and liquidity providers who engage with USD1 pairs.
Rising Stablecoin Contender
Launched in April 2025, USD1 has seen remarkable growth — reaching a circulation of $2.91 billion by November, making it one of the fastest-growing stablecoins this year.
The token is issued by World Liberty Financial and securely custodied by BitGo, backed 1:1 by U.S. government money market funds and other cash equivalents.
Following the announcement, WLFI’s native token price rose by nearly within 24 hours, climbing to and boosting its market cap to approximately .
