Crypto exchange Bybit is gearing up to shake up the Solana ecosystem with the upcoming launch of Byreal, a hybrid decentralized exchange that marries the deep liquidity of a centralized platform with the transparency and security of DeFi. Slated for a testnet debut on June 30 and a full mainnet rollout in the third quarter of 2025, Byreal promises a seamless trading experience backed by Bybit’s global infrastructure and Solana’s high-throughput network.
At its core, Byreal leverages advanced routing mechanisms, namely Request for Quote (RFQ) and Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) models, to deliver low-slippage, MEV-protected swaps at impressive speeds. In a recent social media announcement, CEO Ben Zhou emphasized that “Byreal isn’t just another DEX; it combines CEX-grade liquidity with DeFi-native transparency,” positioning the platform as an on-chain extension of a global exchange rather than a standalone rollout.

Starting from scratch and now born on Solana. what's special: 1/ CEX + DEX synergy Byreal isn’t “just another DEX.” It’s combining CEX-grade liquidity with DeFi-native transparency.… https://t.co/JU60e4zHQ4

Entering a competitive landscape dominated by Uniswap, which holds roughly 24% of total value locked (TVL) across decentralized exchanges, Byreal will vie for market share alongside established players like Curve and PancakeSwap, which have TVLs worth $1.9 billion and $1.7 billion, respectively. Within Solana’s own DEX scene, Raydium leads with $1.7 billion and a 55% share of Solana-based liquidity, though its volume has dipped sharply since the memecoin craze earlier this year.
With the broader DEX TVL hovering around $20.3 billion, down 75% from its November 2021 peak, Byreal’s hybrid approach could offer a fresh path forward for traders seeking both depth and transparency.
