BNB, the native token of the BNB Chain, has seen a major upswing in both price and market attention, signaling renewed confidence among traders and investors in its long-term growth potential.
According to data from Messari, BNB’s mindshare — a metric that tracks online discussions, visibility, and overall awareness — has jumped 251% in just one week, reaching 5.09%. This sharp increase coincides with a 27% rise in BNB’s price over the same period, with the token climbing past $1,330 for the first time since its previous high of $1,111.
Analysts Highlight Market Shift Toward Efficient, Affordable Chains
Rachael Lucas, analyst at BTC Markets, said the growing attention reflects a broader trend toward high-throughput, low-fee blockchain networks.
“BNB is benefiting from investor rotation into scalable, cost-efficient ecosystems,” Lucas explained, noting that the chain’s latest performance upgrades have strengthened its position in the market.
The BNB Chain recently increased its gas limit to 100 million per second and cut block time from three seconds to just 750 milliseconds, effectively improving speed and reducing transaction costs. On average, users now pay around $0.46 in network fees, according to Token Terminal.
Market Capitalization and Memecoin Momentum Drive Growth
Over the past week, two major developments have fueled investor optimism — a sharp increase in BNB’s market capitalization and a surge in memecoin trading activity within its ecosystem.
BNB’s market cap has jumped from around $140 billion to over $183 billion, making it the third-largest cryptocurrency globally, surpassing both XRP and Tether (USDT).
“This flip in market cap demonstrates growing investor confidence in BNB’s long-term fundamentals,” Lucas said.
