MetaMask and Ramp Network have expanded their partnership to enable direct cash outs from Ethereum Layer-2 networks. This new feature allows MetaMask users to seamlessly convert their Ethereum (ETH) tokens held on L2s, such as Optimism, Polygon, and BNB Chain, into fiat currencies without the need to bridge them to the Ethereum mainnet.
The integration supports over 35 fiat currencies and is available in over 130 countries. Users can now directly sell their L2-based ETH tokens for cash through local banks, SEPA payouts, and global card transactions. This streamlined process eliminates the extra steps and associated costs previously involved in bridging tokens to the mainnet for withdrawal.
This collaboration aims to enhance the user experience and improve the overall accessibility of L2 networks. By simplifying the cash-out process, MetaMask and Ramp Network are making it easier for users to interact with and benefit from the advantages offered by these scalable Ethereum solutions.
