Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Build structured processes for scalability, prioritizing day-to-day activities.
  • Be an active contributor, leading by example in developing new tools alongside the team.
  • Implement and maintain high-security standards, development best practices, and ISO 27001 certification.
  • Establish and maintain high standards across code reviews, deployment, and sprint management.
  • Collaborate with the UK team to manage expectations, and delivery deadlines, and identify process improvements.
  • Stay informed about the Generative AI market, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest knowledge.
  • Build SLAs to manage responses to downtime or critical issues.
  • Professionally manage briefs and communicate with clients as needed.

Must-Have

  1. Proven experience as a Data Engineer with leadership experience.
  2. Strong knowledge of SDLC with industry best practices; CI/CD knowledge is preferred.
  3. Experience with Python, SQL, SQL databases, Azure, AWS cloud, ETL, Data Modeling, and Architecture Design.
  4. Experience building and optimizing data pipelines to and from data warehouses.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  7. Understanding of data governance and compliance.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of cookies, tracking, and compliance.
  • Experience in a marketing/sales-based engineering role or a good understanding of the marketing/sales function.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Industry certifications in data engineering or related areas.
