Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Build structured processes for scalability, prioritizing day-to-day activities.
- Be an active contributor, leading by example in developing new tools alongside the team.
- Implement and maintain high-security standards, development best practices, and ISO 27001 certification.
- Establish and maintain high standards across code reviews, deployment, and sprint management.
- Collaborate with the UK team to manage expectations, and delivery deadlines, and identify process improvements.
- Stay informed about the Generative AI market, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest knowledge.
- Build SLAs to manage responses to downtime or critical issues.
- Professionally manage briefs and communicate with clients as needed.
Must-Have
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC with industry best practices; CI/CD knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with Python, SQL, SQL databases, Azure, AWS cloud, ETL, Data Modeling, and Architecture Design.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines to and from data warehouses.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Understanding of data governance and compliance.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of cookies, tracking, and compliance.
- Experience in a marketing/sales-based engineering role or a good understanding of the marketing/sales function.
- Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Industry certifications in data engineering or related areas.
