Job Overview. Back End Engineer at Token Metrics
Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation
- Collaborate with coworkers and clients to understand and clarify project requirements.
- Design and create infrastructure enabling access and analysis of big data.
- Revamp existing frameworks for optimal performance.
- Rigorous testing of structures to ensure they meet functional requirements.
- Build robust data pipelines from diverse sources (API, CSV, JSON).
- Prepare raw data for manipulation by Data Scientists.
- Implement proper data validation and reconciliation methodologies.
- Ensure work is backed up and easily accessible to relevant team members.
- Stay updated on industry standards and technological advancements.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3+ years of development experience in Python, Java, or any programming language.
- 3+ years of SQL & No-SQL experience (Snowflake Cloud DW & MongoDB experience is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, C++, Java, R.
- Expertise in building Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or equivalents.
- Expertise in AWS Cloud.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Work Approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Efficiently manage a pipeline of duties with minimal supervision.
