The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched a pioneering undergraduate program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics, starting in the upcoming academic year (2024-25). This first-of-its-kind BTech course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of AI and data science.
The program, offered through the newly established Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI, will have an initial intake of only 50 students. Admissions will be based solely on JEE Advanced scores, making it highly competitive and targeted towards top talents in science and mathematics.
