Pyth Network, a leading decentralized oracle platform, has made a major leap by bringing real time Hong Kong stock prices directly onchain, making one of Asia’s largest equity markets instantly accessible to the world.
The network now delivers live price feeds for 85 top Hong Kong listed companies, covering a combined market capitalization of 28.8 trillion Hong Kong dollars (approximately 3.7 trillion US dollars). These feeds include major players from industries such as banking, insurance, energy, and Chinese technology, creating unprecedented opportunities for developers and investors.
Breaking Traditional Barriers
Traditionally, access to Hong Kong’s equity data has been locked behind expensive terminals, regional restrictions, and delayed feeds from platforms like Yahoo Finance. Pyth Network has now removed these barriers by offering instant, permissionless, institutional grade price feeds, updated every 400 milliseconds.
“From fintech apps to institutional trading desks, these price feeds empower builders to create the next generation of financial products,” Pyth Network said in its announcement.
Expanding a Massive Data Network
This latest addition is part of Pyth’s larger mission to make global financial data available onchain. The platform already provides over 1,300 price feeds across asset classes such as US equities, cryptocurrencies, and commodities, spanning more than 100 blockchain ecosystems.
These feeds are compatible with major Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Avalanche, and can even be integrated into offchain applications.
