Bitcoin investors may need to readjust their expectations for 2025 as fresh analysis points to a higher long-term floor for the world’s largest cryptocurrency.
According to on-chain analyst James Check, Bitcoin appears to have firmly established a bottom around $110,000, suggesting the next market leg could push prices far beyond that range.
“We’ve proven strength at $110K — that’s our new foundation,” Check explained during a recent appearance on the TFTC Podcast. “If Bitcoin ever slips to $95K, that would indicate a temporary end to the current rally.”
A Strengthened Base Around $2 Trillion Market Cap
Check noted that Bitcoin’s market capitalization — now hovering near $2.4 trillion — reflects growing institutional confidence and long-term holder conviction.
“We proved a $1 trillion base back in 2024,” he said. “Now, with $2 trillion holding strong in 2025, the next question is: how many trillions can Bitcoin handle from here?”
According to his analysis, more than 60% of all Bitcoin investments were made above the $95,000 mark, implying that most holders are unlikely to sell below their entry price. This transforms $95K from a potential ceiling into a strong support level.
Next Target: $150,000 and Beyond
With bullish momentum intact, Check sees a logical path toward $150,000, which would represent roughly a $3 trillion total valuation for Bitcoin.
“It’s one of those market moments where you need to hold two views at once,” he added. “But the setup clearly favors the bulls — if not, we’ll know the momentum has cooled for now.”
Other analysts share similar optimism. Galaxy Digital’s Alex Thorn predicted in late 2024 that Bitcoin could reach $150,000 this year, while more aggressive forecasts push potential highs toward $185,000–$250,000 depending on market sentiment.
At press time, Bitcoin trades around $121,300, marking a modest 0.8% gain over the week. But many analysts agree that reclaiming the $120,000 zone could trigger a rapid breakout toward new all-time highs.
As Charles Edwards of Capriole Investments put it earlier this month:
“Once Bitcoin confirms $120K, we might see a quick sprint to $150K — and potentially beyond.”
With bullish momentum building and investor confidence high, Bitcoin appears poised for a powerful continuation phase — one that could redefine its next cycle peak.
