AIOZ Network has launched AIOZ Stream, a decentralized peer-to-peer streaming protocol designed to give creators direct ownership of their content and unlock token-based monetization opportunities. The rollout begins with video-on-demand (VOD) support, alongside developer SDKs and APIs to encourage ecosystem growth.
Why It Matters
Traditional streaming platforms are often criticized for high distribution costs and unclear revenue sharing models. AIOZ aims to change this by leveraging its Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN), enabling creators to retain ownership while ensuring transparent, on-chain payouts.
Community-Powered Streaming
Built on a contributor-driven infrastructure, AIOZ Stream combines a peer-to-peer edge layer with blockchain-based incentives. This setup reduces dependency on centralized CDNs, brings content delivery closer to audiences, and ensures verifiable playback integrity. While the current focus is on VOD, live-streaming features are already in development.

The protocol handles content ingestion, adaptive bitrate (ABR) transcoding, and peer-to-peer delivery with sharding and redundancy for performance. Developers gain access to SDKs, webhooks, analytics, and customizable players for easier integration.
AIOZ Stream also integrates with other ecosystem services, including AIOZ Storage (object storage), AIOZ Pin (IPFS pinning), and AIOZ AI (decentralized compute).
Monetization Options
Revenue flows are token-native, covering subscription (SVOD/TVOD), ad-supported (AVOD), tips, and Watch-to-Earn models.
- Payment Router: Splits subscription revenue between creators and a developer pool.
- Ad Router: Conducts real-time ad auctions in AIOZ tokens, with reinforcement-learning models optimizing ad performance.
- Tips: Sent directly to creators, ensuring transparent support from audiences.
Web3 onboarding is optional — users can stream content without wallets, while on-chain proofs and rewards remain available for those who want them.
